The NET-USB Family product controls USB 2.0 devices via Ethernet. The USB ports are seen as installed in the Windows PC. Any devices connected to the ports are detected via Plug & Play. Several PC may use the same devices on a time-sharing base.
USB printers offer an automatic sharing option, to connect them when data is printed. Other PC use the same printer as soon as the previous job has finished printing.
The metal case and the flexible power supply make a good choice in rough office and industrial environments.
